1.2 Safe to install
The Dice Slide presents an engaging and intellectually stimulating experience, merging the classic format of a sliding puzzle with the intriguing element of dice. The primary objective is to arrange the dice into horizontal rows of identical numbers, utilizing an empty space to reposition them strategically. Successfully completing this challenge results in the disappearance of filled rows, culminating in a satisfying win when all rows have been cleared.
Puzzle enthusiasts will appreciate the additional layer of competition as players can earn bonuses for quicker completion times and fewer moves. The game encourages players to strive for personal bests, whether that means achieving the highest score, securing the fastest time, or minimizing moves—ideally aiming for all three accolades.
Features include:
- Three game modes: easy (4x4 grid), standard (5x5 grid), and hard (6x6 grid).
- Integration with Game Center for leaderboards and achievements.
- Customizable dice colors for a personalized touch.
- On-device tracking of top 10 scores, moves, and times.
- Detailed playing statistics.
- A built-in tutorial ensuring players can easily learn the mechanics.
Gameplay Overview:
Upon starting a game, players will find the dice randomly arranged on the grid, with a careful allocation ensuring that each full row has the appropriate number of dice—except for one row missing a die. This row can only be completed after all other rows are successfully filled. To facilitate identification, the dice designated for this incomplete row are highlighted in a distinct color.
Players maneuver the dice by flicking them toward the empty space; this tactile motion allows for finely tuned control. Notably, multiple dice can be moved simultaneously when they are aligned in a row or column adjacent to the empty space. Successfully lining up a row of identical numbers will see those dice turn green and ultimately vanish from the board. Following this, any rows situated above will shift down to occupy the newly vacant space. Only after all complete rows are formed can players focus on assembling the final short row by aligning all remaining dice together.
